The steam oxide finish and surface treatment provide abrasion resistance and improved chip flow. Bits have a straight shank made of high-speed steel with a 118 deg point. They are available in fractional sizes (R10), letter sizes (R15) and a low thrust/split point design (A012 and R15A).
